The plain-language version
Build With DB collects the information you choose to give — through the contact form, lead form, newsletter signup, or AI concierge chat. It's used to respond to you, deliver what you asked for, and improve the site. It is not sold to anyone.
What is collected
Form submissions (name, email, phone, business details, project descriptions), newsletter signups (email, first name, topic preferences), and concierge chat messages you send. Standard technical data (browser type, pages visited) may be collected by the hosting platform for performance and security.
How it is used
To respond to inquiries, follow up on build requests you consented to, send the newsletter you subscribed to, and operate the AI concierge. Lead details may be processed by service providers (database hosting, email delivery, AI infrastructure) solely to provide these functions.
Consent and follow-up
Follow-up contact only happens when you check the consent box on a form. Newsletter emails include an unsubscribe option. You can withdraw consent anytime by emailing hello@buildwithdb.ca.
Free downloads and optional email updates
When you request a free kit, we save your email, optional first name, source site, request time and marketing preference in Elevate Vision Digital's private Vercel Blob storage. Marketing opt-in is optional and separate from receiving the download. We keep the consent wording and any unsubscribe request so we can apply your preference to future mailing lists. Use the preference link supplied after signup or contact us to withdraw consent or request deletion. The downloaded workbook keeps its entries in your browser; those workbook entries are not sent to us.
TikTok advertising measurement
If you allow advertising cookies, we load the TikTok Pixel to measure page visits and improve our advertising. TikTok may receive page URLs, IP addresses, browser and device information, ad click identifiers, and cookie identifiers. This helps connect website visits with our ads. We do not load this pixel until you choose to allow it. You can decline or change your choice using Advertising preferences in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future event sharing; it does not erase information already shared. The pixel is excluded from order-status and email-preference pages. This preference controls TikTok advertising measurement, separately from newsletter or contact-form consent.

Data retention and your rights
Data is kept only as long as needed for the purpose you provided it. You can request a copy of your data or ask for it to be deleted by emailing hello@buildwithdb.ca. Reasonable requests are honoured promptly.
Third-party links
Links to external sites (including affiliate courses and the merch store) lead to services with their own privacy policies. Review them before providing information there.
